CNR-NANO-NNL is a cross-disciplinary nanotechnology facility for nanometer-scale research, located at the University of Lecce and sponsored by the CNR-NANO (Consiglio Nazionale delle Ricerche - Istituto di Nanoscienze). Launched in January 2001, the centre at present is one of the largest cross disciplinary facilities at the European level. It consists of around 100 scientists with different backgrounds working in close collaboration to foster exploratory and seeding research in cross-disciplinary areas (such as organic electronic and optoelectronic devices, micro and nano-engineered devices and sensors, molecular electronics and nanobiotechnologies), exploiting either the bottom-up or the top-down approach, in the same mainframe.
