Piero A. Salvadori

Principal Investigator

Dr. Piero A. Salvadori (IFC – Pisa) is the Head of PET/Cyclotron/ Radiopharmaceutical Chemistry department in C.N.R. Institute of Clinical Physiology in Pisa (Italy). He is currently adjunct professor of Radiochemistry and Tracer Modelling (Medical Physics) and Radiopharmacy (Nuclear Medicine) in University of Pisa and professor at the European School of Medical Physics (Archamps-Geneve). He is involved in radiopharmaceuticals production being the production Manager of IFC-CNR Pisa production site and Vice-Chair of the European Association of Nuclear Medicine Committee on Drug Development and Molecular Imaging. He is Scientific Consultant in Radiochemistry for many European Institutions and has been responsible for national and international research programs on the use of gamma and positron emitting radionuclides for biomedical applications. His main interests, witnessed by over 100 publications in the field of Radiochemistry and Nuclear Medicine, are directed toward basic radiochemistry research, R&D on new radiotracers and molecular imaging.
