WP7: Integration of radioactivity detectors

TNI-UCC, partner 4, will be responsible for this WP, which will comprise of two main objectives. In the first phase (objective 1) small sensitive radiation detectors will be designed, fabricated and integrated into each module. After verification of detector performance in phase 1, in the subsequent phase (objective 2) detectors will be optimised for integration into compact modular structure we wish to implement. The radiation detector will consist of the radiation sensing chip and associated read-out unit. The detectors will be placed at critical positions in the final system which will enable monitoring of the transfer of radioactive molecules from one module to another.
